Linking epics and adjusting timlines

Anitha Jeyanthan January 31, 2022

Whenever I have to reschedule an epic, I need to go in manually to re-adjust follow-up epics, which are dependent from the first one. Is there an easy way to re-adjust timelines in the advanced roadmap like it is possible in other tools?

Hi @Anitha Jeyanthan

Welcome to the Community!!

It's basically the start date and due date that is associated with the timeline.

It depends on how your issues are managed with dependencies!!

Advanced Roadmaps only allows us to change the dates

Even Automation for Jira does not have a feature yet to check the dependencies!!

Please raise a support ticket to check with Atlassian on Automation feature

Thanks

I think this doesn't really answer my question. Let me rephrase my question:

If Epic 1 is going from 1.1.22-1.3.22 and Epic 2 which is dependent on Epic 1 finishing goes from 2.3.22-30.4.22. How can I make sure that once I delay epic 1 by 3 months, epic 2 will be delayed as well without dragging the time bars manually?

Many thanks
