Hi
re https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/16063/numbered-headings?hosting=server&tab=overview
we use this macro extensively for our documentation and it is GREAT.
Each page represents a Chapter with sections on each page so we get a page for say Chapter 3 that looks like this:
3 Title
3.1 section
3.1.1 subsection
BUT ... I need to insert a link to a certain heading in various places both on the same page, and/or in other pages.
When I use the "normal" Confluence "Advanced" link mechanism from the toolbar, it doesn't pickup the numbering, just the text
so a link would just show on the page as "section"
How can I get the link to also show the numbering?
i.e. it should show as "3.1 section"
and it should auto-update if the numbering changes with a new heading added in.
Not sure on the right answer here, but I'd added the correct label to tag this as a question for that specific App.
I'd also recommend contacting the vendor directly - to do this:
Let us know if you find a resolution!

Thanks @Ste Wright
Yes, I have contacted Appfire directly already ...
I am hoping for a good solution either from the Community (hold your left ear, pat the top of your head and click .... 😄) or from AppFire (or others) as some sort of enhanced linking plugin
