Hi Atlassian Community,
We recently completed our migration to Confluence Cloud and started testing Simple Tables as our main solution for structured data. The integration has been smooth and our team really enjoys how easy it is to create and manage tables directly in pages.
That said, one limitation we’ve noticed is the lack of support for Page Properties, which we use heavily to manage metadata across spaces. For now, this is the only thing holding us back from going “all in” with Simple Tables.
We’ve also heard good things about Table Filter but our goal is to stay fully within the Runs in Atlassian Cloud ecosystem.
Overall, we’re very satisfied with what Simple Tables offers today, but for teams like ours that rely on metadata, the lack of Page Properties support might be a blocker. Hopefully this is something that will be available soon — it would make Simple Tables a complete solution for us.
Curious to hear from others: how are you handling metadata in Confluence Cloud? Any suggestions for apps that support this use case?
L.
Hi @Laura G_ – RedFox Ventures,
You’re right: today Simple Tables for Confluence app doesn’t support Page Properties yet. The good news is that we’re actively working on it, and our goal is to have Page Properties integrate natively with ST soon (can’t share dates, but it’s on the near-term track).
In the meantime, a strong option for metadata is Metadata for Confluence by Communardo. It lets you manage structured fields and use them alongside Page Properties/Reports, and teams are successfully pairing it with ST today. It’s a robust, Cloud-friendly approach that will carry forward once ST’s Page Properties support lands.
Hope that helps!

Hi Laura,
Did you have a look at our app, Aura Table Filter, yet? It fully runs on Atlassian and has support for page properties and offers additional functionality, such as the ability to create different views, such as charts. The app is also completely free!

Hi @Laura G_ – RedFox Ventures ,
We represent the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app that you've mentioned.
Indeed besides various tabular calculations, aggregations, and visualizations, we support native Confluence macros (Page Properties Report, Jira Issues, etc.) and provide our own advanced version of the Page Properties Report macro - Table Excerpt Include.
What concerns your worries about the Runs on Atlassian badge, we are now actively working towards moving to Forge. Once everything is done (we estimate it as around December), we'll get the badge: https://docs.stiltsoft.com/tfac/cloud/faq-security-71860350.html#FAQSecurity-DoestheapprunonForge?
Meanwhile, we have the trust.stiltsoft.com portal where you can access important security and compliance documents, including the SOC 2 Type I and SOC 2 Type II reports, penetration tests, the latest updates from our bug bounty program, etc.
And you may also book a call with the team to ask more questions and see the described use case live - you are always welcome.

Hi @Laura G_ – RedFox Ventures ,
Have you looked into Confluence Databases? They are built in and sometimes allow you to built the right tables directly in Confluence.
With regards to metadata, you can have a look at our app Document Metadata for Confluence Cloud ? The app can directly insert page properties into tables and Confluence Databases.
