Macro select hover text is unreadable

Calvin Senteza April 29, 2019

I'm trying to change the hover text color to allow for readability. As it stands the color of the text and the background are too similar. I am unable to find the appropriate property within the Color Scheme settings. Would anyone be able to advise on changing the color of the hover text on the macro in page select list?

Hello Calvin,

We’ve attempted to locate the issue with the color pallet and hover text of the select macro. We ran into an issue where we’re unsure exactly what you’re seeing. Could you please provide a screenshot and which window you’re within to help us see where the color pallet issue is?

We checked the following macro text when selecting a macro but did not find an issue with the text colors. Here is a screenshot of what we’re seeing, though it may not be where you’re looking.

We look forward to your response so we may work together to find the issue with the color pallet.

Hello Calvin,

Thank you for sending over a screenshot of what you’re seeing. That color scheme does not seem right as you clearly can’t see anything. This may happen if you upload a custom site logo which may auto adjust the site's color scheme to match. We would suggest resetting your color scheme to see if this resolve the issue. To do this, please follow these steps:

To reset the color scheme:

  1. Choose the cog icon, then choose General Configuration
  2. Choose Color Scheme in the left-hand panel
  3. Click Edit
  4. Hit Reset

Source documentation: Customizing Color Schemes.

Please let us know the results of resetting the color scheme.

Thanks for the quick response Stephen.

I am aware that resetting will fix the issue. I'm wondering if there is a way to center in on this actual color value within the color scheme and simply brighten it by using a different hex value for a brighter shade of brown. I am unable to determine which of the various color values to change to make this change. This would allow me to keep the custom logo as well as the new color configurations that match the logo design.

Hello Calvin,

Thank you for the clarification on this. WIthin the Color Scheme to change the color of the selected background for the macro drop down you’re going to want edit the following item:

Menu Item Selected Background

This will allow you to change the color when selecting anything from a dropdown within a page. Additional, there is an article which helps to explain what each section of the color scheme effects: Edit a Space's Color Scheme
