Managing watchers

Kevin Pearce October 8, 2014

It appears that in order for me to add watchers to a page i am creating, I have to create the page, then manage watchers, and then edit the page in order for them to get some kind of notice.  Is there any way to do this all in one step?  I don't seem to be able to manage watchers in page creation.  Am I missing this?

Also, is there a way I can set auto-watchers on a section of a space rather than the entire space?  For example, every page of this template or every page created under this heading in the hierarchy automatically gets these users as watchers.

The Enterprise Notifications add-on has the ability to set watches for descendants. You could also use the Confluence Command Line Interaface and run it on a schedule to set watches for a page and its children. As for doing it during page creation that is a no go.
