Manually export space pages to a new confluence server

Bidhan Khatri May 14, 2019

Due to the disk issue, I couldn't export the whole space at once. So, I've exported a few pages from space and imported to a new confluence server which was successful. Now I have selected remaining pages and export it in the xml.zip file. When I tried to restore those pages on the same space of new confluence server I am facing the below error. "

  • A space with the key 'CA' already exists. Please delete it before restoring a space with the same key.

Is there any workaround for this problem?

Just a guess... but rename the old 'CA' key? and it should allow you to import the new one as 'CA'?  You might also consider renaming the imported one to something new?

Also I have found in the past, emptying the trash of deleted content helps with duplicate stuff (but I think that was resolved several versions ago.)

Hope this works for you.
