Migrate Confluence 6.9.0 to cloud facing issues

Ankit Jain January 23, 2024

Hi,

We have a on prem confluence 6.9.0 and want to migrate to cloud. We are using it with Solaris OS and Oracle 12C.We need to update many things before we are able to migrate to cloud using CLOUD migration assistant tool.

I am facing these issues, these are the things I have tried till now

Some background of the problem we are facing:
1.) upgrade path from confluence 6.9 to latest version is not possible due to Oracle DB 12c no longer supported.
2.) upgrade of Oracle DB from 12c to 19c is not possible because the underlying Solaris OS cannot be upgraded.
3.) Tried installed CCMA 3.8.0 but it's incompatible.
4.) Tried export xml of confluence but the backup stop somewhere between 1.0GB - 2.0GB (full size should be around 9.5GB), cannot be use for restoration as it's deem corrupted.

Please tell me how should I migrate?

Asking here because I need alternative instead of pay to atlassian migration team.its exceeding our budget and time is almost over.

Hi @Ankit Jain

The CCMA is available from version 6.13, this is an LTS version.

I do think this would still support Oracle 12c.

So if you upgrade to LTS version 6.13, you are able to use the CCMA.
