Hello!

We are currently running Confluence Data Center 8.5.7 (and upgrading to 9.2 imminently). Before we experiment and potentially break something, could you please confirm how excerpt and multiexcerpt macros behave when one (or both) pages are moved to a new space?

Thank you,

Steven

Hi @Steven Tietjen and welcome to the Community.

Generally speaking, the relationships between/among pages will be preserved as long as the pages are moved/copied together.

I would actually encourage you to experiment and test it the behavior before making the move.

Create a space with a couple of pages that mimic the excerpt usage patterns that you have.

If you have a Confluence sandbox, you can export the space (section of the space) from Production and Import it to Sandbox.

If I remember correctly from my on-prem days, you can copy or move a section of the tree from one space to another - and that should preserve realationships among the pages within the chunk that you copy.
