You can also see some newly planned features in the development releases. Here is the page for the current one:

There's usually two lists. Atlassian sometimes keep big features quiet until release, so you won't see those listed anywhere. But everything else is usually mentioned at https://jira.atlassian.com/projects/CONF?selectedItem=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:release-page
