No headings found in .doc

Using Confluence 5.1.2. When importing .doc or .docx using Tools>Import Word Document, the interface says: "Can't split this document. It contains no Heading styles".

But my doc contains Heading syles, i suppose..

What could be the problem?

Hi, i am italian, so the Word is in Italian, so the name of heading is "Titolo 1"..., but they are te standard headings ( for italian version).

EDIT: the problem is the name of headings, in italian the standard headings are renamed in "Titolo n".. and don't works. Simply open file in GDrive and re-save in docx format and it's works.

Thanks for this tip. I opened the document in Google Drive and saved it and downloaded. This process fixed the problem.

Maybe you have custom headings defined that are not being recognized? Have you tried importing a doc with the standard headings?
