An in-house installation of Confluence is failing to update the Office Connector plug-in. I tried to run a manual update and it again fails.
The audit log is not particularly helpful
Failed to install add-on plugin_6855462829751955981_OfficeConnector-3.1.4.1.jar
and other variations on the file name per failure. Tried to disable, and to run it; re-enabled and run it. It is becoming an exercise in futility. Not sure where to go with this matter. There is no specific specialty knowledge local, and I had one of our more technical backend people install it, but they have no special product knowledge either.
So directions of where I am next meant to look, or how to resolve would be appreciated. Thanks.
Try to uninstall the user installed version of the plugin as per Manually Remove Malfunctioning Add-ons and try to update afterwards.
What is the resolution on this? We are having the same problem.

Thanks for the reply @Alejandro Conde Carrillo.
We were able to uninstall, though unable to get the plugin to manually or automatically install (same problem). Our tech guy will try a fresh installation/upgrade with the plugin absent and see if that is able to generate success.
