My Confluence instance is behind a firewall and I am wondering which outgoing ports I have to open. Confluence is listening on port 8443 and 8090 and it works fine via http on port 8090. Open ports in both directions are 8090 and 8443 and I opened 443 for outgoing connections but HTTPS access is not working. What do I have to do?

You don't have to open outgoing ports in firewall to have confluence acessible via HTTPS.
I would suggest you to:
1. Disable SELinux and Firewall
2. Get confluence running via HTTPS, Test if confluence is accessible
3. Enable Firewall (make excludes if needed), Test if confluence is still accessible
4. Enable SElinux, test if confluence is still accessible
