How are the permissions set for personal apsces?

I created a new group and I want all personal spaces to be viewable by that group. Also all newly created spaces must be viewable by that group.

How do I do it short of manually changing all personal space permissions?

Last time I looked they were provided automatically and not configurable, see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-2559.

Changing all permisions on only works at that moment in time, as you cannot control when a user chooses to create a personal space.

The solution, as I have implemented in the past is to write a scheduled JOB that scans all user spaces, and sets or resets permissions accordingly.

What do you mean with a scheduled JOB? Please elaborate.
