Plueprint with linked/cloned Textblock

Christian Schimmel June 25, 2020

Hi,

I'm using the meeting blueprint, but we would benefit largly, if a part of the text from a blueprint can be copied from another meeting protocol.

We have a topic "action items" which will be taken over from the last protocol.

  1. can we preinsert this part whil editing a new protokol?
  2. can this text block be used from "most recent" protocol?

Hi Jack,

In confluence your question can be answered using the Excerpt and Excerpt Include macros.

On your original page, go into edit and highlight the section you want copied.

  1. Define the excerpt: Go to the macro + menu and search for Excerpt macro. Insert and open this macro--pasting the section you copied.
  2. Go to your new page and insert the Excerpt Include macro; at the include field call up your original page that has the Excerpt.

The Excerpt will now include the information from step one will now appear on the new page.

Note: to edit the section in the excerpt will have to go back to original page where the excerpt is defined.
