Pocketquery plans for admin delegation

Hi,

We're loving PocketQuery so much that the popularity is also rising. Are there any plans to allow for delegated administrators - i.e. users that have access to a subset of database and the queries / templates that relate to those databases?

For example, as an Admin I have Confluence, JIRA and Production DB databases set up and queries produced.

I have developers that want to be able to mine JIRA for data, but I don't want them to be able to get Confluence or Production DB access or even see those queries. Is this possible or is it planned in the future?

Kind regards

Nathaniel.

Hi Nathaniel,

Thank you for your support, sounds great! In PQ 2.0, we separated the PocketQuery administration from the Confluence administration. Since then you can define your own PQ administrators group. However, it will remain impossible for now to define subsets of queries with different permissions. Being a PQ administrator, a user will have edit access to all PocketQuery items. We know that this is not sufficient for different scenarios and a more advanced permission scheme would be very beneficial. But at the moment we are focusing on other topics. It is definitely on our roadmap, but it won't be released in the near future.

Best, Felix (Scandio)
