Is it possible to pull information from LDAP into Confluence profiles? I can't find any info on this. (FWIW, I did find this question asked more than a year ago by several people on https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Connecting+to+an+LDAP+Directory, but no response from Atlassian.)
There are only a few fields that are populated into Confluence from LDAP using the bundled functionality. There is a plugin called the User Profile Plugin that will allow you to populate other fields from LDAP into Confluence.
Thanks, Devin. You don't know which fields are pulled in by default, do you?

Hello Jonathan,
with the User Profile Plugin, you can populate the standard profile information of Confluence but you can also extend the profile to your needs with further fields. You can also define wether the profile field will be filled in by the users or automatically with information from the LDAP. Just try the User Profile Plugin and have a look at the documentation or contact us directly via support@communardo.de, if you have any further questions. I hope this helps to clarify your question.
Greetings, Stephanie

Hello,
as we moved our documentation you will find the new documentation for User Profiles for Confluence here now.
The fields that should be synchronized with an user directory can be defined by an administrator in the configuration of the user profile elements.
If you have further questions or support requests you can always contact our support.
Kind regards
Franz

In our instance its Username (UPN), Display name and email address only, less a profile more a login.
User Profile Plugin looks interesting but for $1000 I'll just write a script that pulls a csv from AD and updates the profiles, can't believe this isn't built into Confluence.

Hi Nathan,
The synchronization with a user directory is only one function of the app. Its other features include adding custom fields to the user profiles of different types (text, user, multiselect etc), a profile list macro to display a list of users based on defined profile criteria and two different organization charts (a compact and a complex version).
The extended profiles can be displayed in the user profile as well as the people directory.
Kind regards,
Almuth
