A colleague just pointed out that a paragraph in one of our documents was completely illegible because it extended way past the screen, meaning endless amounts of scrolling to the right.
I opened the source editor in the Confluence editor and saw that that particular piece of text was generated as a <span> instead of <p>. To check if this was the problem, I changed one of the sentences to <p> instead of span, and it behaved normally again.
I managed to quick-fix the issue by selecting the affected text and re-selecting "Paragraph" in the heading options (the text was already defined as paragraph style in the editor).
Has anyone else had this problem, or know how it could have occurred? There is one Draw.io diagram after the paragraph in question, but all previous paragraphs are regular text...
This sounds like what happens when people copy and paste content from another HTML view of either a Confluence or web page. Sometimes, I have seen this happen with Word imports.
At any rate, I have saved a set of ReGex expression that I can use to clean up a page. Or you have to highlight all text and clear format, and redo it manually.
Ah that sounds plausible, might have been a Word import. I've never seen it before but will keep it in mind!
Or you have to highlight all text and clear format, and redo it manually.
That's how I solved it, seemed the quickest option...
Thanks!
