Is there a way to prevent a disabled user from showing up in auto-complete?
Our confluence instance has two user accounts with the same name (say, Bob Smith) but different LDAP identities. One of the accounts is active and the other disabled. When other users try to tag Bob in an article or comment, two identical entries appear in the auto-complete box. It is not clear which name to pick.
Ideally, I'd administratively remove the inactive account from the list of suggested names. If this is not possible, I think deleting the inactive user's name might work (note, the account itself cannot be deleted). Of course, I'd rather not use such a kludge unless I have to.
After a little more digging, I was able to remove the user by excluding accounts marked disabled in AD. This link has more detail: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/59972.
