Hello!
I have created a page especially for images to share them across my space. When I go to add these images, they do not appear when I search for them using the add image macro. I can see images that I added a while ago, but not my most recently added ones. Any ideas why?
Kind regards,
Helen
I keep answering this question but continue to get emails to tell me to do so...!
Problem was due to indexes not rebuilding automatically. Not sure why, but they've been deleted and recreated from scratch and all seems good.

It was indeed due to the indexes... We've had them rebuilt from scratch by Atlassian support and all seems good—for now at least. Thanks for your help!

Hi Daniel,
With images such as screen shots, these may need updating if the screen changes. If that screen shot is used in multiple places, it may take a long time to find everywhere that the image is used. If the image is never updated, or if it's only ever going to be used in one place, then there probably isn't a need for this.
Hope that helps,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Why have you done things like this? What is the advantage of attaching all images to a single page rather than the pages where they are displayed?

I followed links from a related page to find this one; here are some things to try to further diagnose:
Presumably this is what you're already doing, so this is just to verify that, perhaps.
I just tried this to see if I could recreate the problem (which I have seen before) but it worked fine. This server (which has shown the problem) is restarted daily, so some of the house-cleaning that takes place during that might have dealt with the delays I was seeing.

Thanks Steve. Sorry for the delay in replying... I have indeed been following these steps and the problem still occurs.
I think that the problem is with the indexes. We rebuilt the indexes and the images I wasn't able to include originally appeared. However, any images added AFTER this manual rebuilt did not! I also started having a problem linking to newly created pages, so it all points to an index problem.
I have been in touch with Atlassian support and they are going to rebuild the indexes from scratch.
