We're looking into solutions for video hosting within our organization that we can easily link to only the video. We already have a lot of these videos hosted in Confluence articles but I can't find anywhere in the documentation that would show how to access a static link for videos that can be shared.
Is there a way to do this? specifically looking for a way to refer to a confluence video embedded in an iframe on an intranet site. We don't want to have to maintain videos in two different locations which is why we haven't yet re-uploaded to the intranet site or another external video site like youtube or vimeo.
Hello @Spencer Simons !
Sharing content within Confluence itself is the main purpose of the tool. We can share things that are stored in Confluence somewhere else, but it is not the main approach.
The links that lead to your video file in the Confluence video player have tokens in it and sharing them externally is not a good approach on security.
You could use a third-party application that allows for external sharing of content. I could find one in our marketplace:
I hope this helps!
