Question about Korean font is not appear at Confluence UI

ujkimbitbucket October 8, 2018

Hello.

I have a question about adding the Korean font to Confluence Font.

Currently I used to Docker confluence in my working environment.

But In the Confluence page, Korean language information is not appear in confluence. I was looking for method to resolve the Korean language not appearing.

But it is not available with docker's confluence working environment.

Currently docker's confluence is running with /opt/jdk1.8.0_xxx/jre/bin/java. but this location included with docker containter.

Can I get some information about insert font to docker confluence?

Thanks.

Hello uijoong kimg,

Could you let us know which Confluence image you're using for your installation?

You would need to rebuild your container with the desired fonts. You'll want to include the following font packages in the Docker file and then build a base image with it:

  • msttcorefonts-installer
  • ttf-dejavu
  • fontconfig
  • ghostscript
  • motif

And then in the docker file, run fc-cache.

I hope that helps!

Take care,

Shannon

@Shannon S

Thank you for quickly response!

I'm using on cptactionhank/atlassian-confluence (Link)

I want to maintain current confluence information. Is it possible that?

If I rebuild Docker container with desired fonts, Can I use current confluence data?

If it's possible, Can I get some information about it?

Thank you!

uijoong kim,

If you need to retain the current Confluence instance, you'll want to make a backup first. You can restore this when you re-install Confluence from Docker.

See Site Backup and Restore for more details.

Shannon
