Hi
A departed team member has configured something in Confluence to use his AD account. We cannot disable his account without confluence denying login.
E.g. Disbabling his account >> restarting the service >> waiting for it to boot again >> brwosing to the confluence page (tomcat returns a valid page for login so not service account) >> attempting to log in >> alerted with error when logging on.
We really need this account disabled as they were a developer.
Please can you assist in locating the AD account so we can change it to a system account?
Thank you
Jonathon
Hi Jonathan,
You'd have to login as the Confluence administrator and remove the AD from the UI. You can follow the steps of this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf64/restore-passwords-to-recover-admin-user-rights-936511358.html
If I understood correctly, if you disable the user's account, no one else is able to login, is that correct? If yes, the best way would be accessing Confluence with the internal adminstrator. Please, bear in mind that if you remove the AD, all the accounts will be removed.
