I ran into a problem of inconsistent data coming from persumably the same source on Confluence.
One source is the Space Analytics page to see the page view and viewer numbers aggregated and individually as well.
The other source is using the official Confluence API to create a table in databricks and use the same view metrics for advanced purposes. On the other hand data gathered through the API is not consistant to the data represented on the Space Analytics pages that are usually either the same or show way less traffic than the newly created databricks tables.
Are there any calculations or filters in the background of the Space Analytics page that can cause this mismatch?
Hello @Máté Bollók
Welcome to the community.
You are using the term Space Analytics. I therefore assume that you are using our Viewtracker app. If this is the case, please create a ticket with our support, with the API request and answer and the numbers you see in the report for the same date range and content. This should help us to compare what Atlassian sends us for view information and what they output via their API.
Kind regards,
Mattia
Hello @Mattia _bitvoodoo ag_
First of all, thank you very muc for the quick comment!
Actually we only use the built in Analytics page and no other third-party options (as far as I know). Nevertheless the phenomenon is interesting considering the API and the website metrics should use and display the same source theoretically.
I'll try my luck with support and see what comes out of the situation.
Thanks again!
Best,
Máté
