Adding Mandatory Reviewers to Confluence Pages for Validation

Hi,

I have a question related to documentation processes. I'd like to ensure that when a document is created in Confluence, it is automatically assigned to a peer for review and validation. Specifically, I want to make the inclusion of a reviewer a mandatory step before the document can be considered finalized. How can I implement this so that a reviewer is always added to the page for validation after creation? Are there any native Confluence features,  that would support this process? We are on standard confluence.

As @Brant Schroeder said, there's no hard-coded native way for a functional review workflow.

I can recommend two apps:

• Breeze and B1nary
• Workflows for Confluence by Appfox

The main reason is that they can actually separate document creation/editing and adjacent workflow and document consumption (reading) into two separate spaces.

This not allows you to create approval workflows with mandated reviews, but also ensures that end users will not have access to an unapproved copy of the document, because the workflow process will take place in a restricted Confluence space.

Once the changes are approved, they are synced to the space that everyone can access.

@shaily_mehta currently there is nothing natively delivered that provides this functionality.  There are apps that provide this functionality in the marketplace.  Atlassian continues to expand Confluence automations so maybe that will eventually have it available.
