A new team member created their Atlassian account. I could find their name and add them to our team in Jira. When searching Confluence, their name has not appeared (it's been 5 days) so I am unable to add them. Is there a manual process, perhaps a permissions approval, that I am aware of and holding this up? Thanks. :)

For a user to be able to use Confluence they need to be in the default product group for Confluence. This is typically confluence-users but your administrator can change this to another group. Even though you've added the user to Jira, they may not yet have access to Confluence. If you don't have administration access to groups, check with your administrator.
