Adding users to JIRA CORE

We host our own JIRA & Confluence.   Our support and maintenance is up in about 40 days.  We currently are close to our max users.  Can we purchase more users for our server without renewing?

Hi Michelle!

If you do an upgrade, you get maintenance included. This is something that cannot be separated or customized. 

As per our Atlassian Licensing and Purchasing FAQ indicates on: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/purchase-licensing#upgradingserverlicenses-5] establishes, 

License upgrades include 12 months of software maintenance commencing from the date payment is processed and cannot be shortened. Customers can synchronize the maintenance on other licenses to match the license being upgraded. Alternatively, when the maintenance for customer's other licenses is up for renewal the upgraded license can be added at that time.
