Hello there,
Currently I'm migrating confluence/wiki system from Confluence 3.5.13 to 4.3.7, but during the migration, I came across a problem. I customized a search function in our confluence space with Advanced Search plugin, I have used {search-form},{search-input},{search-select},{search-option} and {search-results} to customize this feature. But the search result can not be shown, just like the attached capture shown.
I found from Atlassian marketplace that the plugin vendor can only support till Confluence 4.2.1,
So do that mean the plugin is not compatible with Confluence 4.3.7, and that's the reason why the search result can not be shown on page? Hope someone may help.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards
Li
Hello Li,
Yes, probably due to the incompatibility of the plugin with the Confluence version that you're using, as you found this plugin is only compatible till Confluence 4.2.1, so it is not expected to work with Confluence 4.3.7.
In this case I would suggest you to make a contact with the plugin's provider and see if there's a chance for a version of the Advanced Search for Confluence 4.3.7, normally most of the plugin's developers create new versions of their plugins to be compatible with the latest versions of our products, maybe here can be just matter of time. You can make a contact with the Adaptavist by the following:

Hope this helps.

Dear Luiz,
Thanks for your kind reply, and I have contacted with Adaptavist support, they told me that the plugin won't support Confluence 4.x anymore. While, we have to use Confluence 4.3.x in our company now, and customized search function is also preferred. Since the "Advanced Search" won't be compatible with Confluence 4, do you have any suggestions that what I can do/use to replace "Advanced Search"? So that the search function can be used again.
It will be appreciate that you can help. Thank you in advance.
Best Regards
Li
