Hi community,
our quality manual is implemented in confluence. At this moment it is a copy-paste implementation of a number of Word documents.
But IMHO confluence can do better but I do not know how!
Eg our procedures contain name of functions (like "Quality Representative") and we have a document (converted from Word) that contains a listing of functions and the names of the coworkers that have this title. So when a personnel change occurs, only that listing needs to be updated and not the procedures.
Since confluence is a managed HTML page, is it somehow possible to replace or add the person in the text (like "Quality Representative (Emmet Brown)"? Like global constants or a Vlookup in Excel?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community @mario witdoek
I think you can use 'Page Properties' and 'Page Properties Report macro' through which you can show summary from one page to another page.
You can create a page and add 'page properties macro' to it and mention title and coworkers in it in a table.
Then create other pages and add 'page properties report macro' to show title/coworkers information on them.
In case you need to update the coworkers in future, just update the page having 'page properties macro' and it will be reflected on all the pages where you have added 'page properties report macro'. You can test it yourself first to see if that fits your requirement.
Hello @mario witdoek ,
We have a solution to transform Confluence in a eDMS, including workflows and electronic signatures, if you are interested.
Drop us an email to info@softcomply.com if this is the case.
