Everytime I select a word in a text to edit, the 'comment' pop-up appears immediately in front of then word I selected. This is really annoying when you just want to edit that word, or delete it, or anything. It used to be case that the comment pop-up would appear ABOVE the selected text, now it is right on top of it. Can this be changed, please?
Hi @Arno Schoenmakers, I haven't encountered this use case before, but I know you can remove comments permission, which removes the ability to comment altogether. I've seen instances where users wanted to customize Confluence UI elements further, and we recommend marketplace apps that, among other features, also disable inline comments. There is another community post you can get additional insights into your use case.
Out of curiosity, which Confluence version are you in? Have you tried it in different browsers? In my case, I tested a few different versions and the pop-up shows right above the word. Does it change when you zoom in and out of the page?
Hi,
Well, inline commenting is a widely used feature in our company so switching it off is not a real option. And it doesn't solve the issue.
I've tried it on Brave, Chrome and Firefox browsers, all have the same behaviour regardless of zoom level. Edge is displaying it correctly, I notice, but as we have many people using Mac/Linux systems, Edge is definitely not the 'default' browser in our company. We are using Confluence Datacenter version 7.18.1.
Thanks, Arno Schoenmakers
