Archiving Plugin for Confluence on Demand (web hosted)

Scott Paterson February 25, 2014

Hi all,

I'm new to Confluence, so sorry for the stupid question. I am trialling Confluence on-demand (web hosted) and desperately want to take advantage of the "Archiving Plugin for Confluence " feature (page expiry functionality). I have attempted to purchase the add-on and have been stopped by the fact that this option only looks to be for the internally hosted instance of Confluence only. Is there any way I can achieve this functionality without this plug in (with my on-demand instance?). Or is there another way I can upgrade my account or something to make this possible?

Hi to anyone reading this conversation. I have contacted the creators of the Archiving plug in as seen below - they are discussing the development of an "on-demand" compatible plug-in. But they need our help to 'vote' for this development work. Please vote for the functionality here:

Here's the original email from Midori:

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your mail!

At the moment, we are just internally discussing an On Demand version of the plugin, but not actively developing that.

Nevertheless, now we created a feature request in our public tracker here:

Please make sure that you vote for this. I'm quite sure that there will be others looking for it, voting for it, and if that happens, we will definitely implement it.

Thanks, I have sent an email to Midori Global Consulting Kft. asking them if we can expect an on-demand compatible version.

Thanks for your response.

As you can see, the Midori Archiving Plugin for Confluence doesn't currently support Confluence OnDemand.

(see screenshot for how to tell -> https://www.evernote.com/shard/s4/sh/70797db9-6563-4ffd-9864-922b63130cdc/ae1b36925ec24cf7a77f4c7cb32d3759/deep/0/Screenshot%202/26/14,%205:43%20PM.jpg)

There doesn't seem to be an OnDemand compatible add-on for archiving in the marketplace yet so I'd say your best bet is to contact the maker of the archiving plugin to see if they're working on an OnDemand compatible version.
