Hi. I am admin in Jira and Confluence and I can administrate all the projects and spaces without restrictions on the main Space, but as I see, some pages in some spaces are restricted and not available for us as admins. How can I do my work if I can't access them ? What is necessary to do to have access on all the pages in this specific Confluence Spaces? I think those who created this pages do not know what they are doing. We as admins have from time to time the request from PM to give access to someone, but based on this restrictions we can't do it :( How can we regain admin rights on these pages to can administrate them also ?
Hi @Michael Winkler,
as an Space Admin or as an Administrator in the "confluence-administrators" group you can access restricted pages from the space settings.
This means you can remove restrictions from pages, even if the page restriction prevents you from viewing the page. Go to Space Administration > Permissions > Restricted Pages.
My second tip: If you really have the feeling that the users on your instance use the restrictions function to often, you can disable the restrictions permissions in the space settings. You can than leave it to a small group who have the rights to restrict pages.
But before that I would talk to the users who resticted the pages. Ask them why they have restricted these pages. From my experience, some users don't understand the way Confluence works.
Have a nice day,
Hi @Michael Winkler ,
Try to find and remove page restricted in space settings.
