I am seeking guidance on setting up language preferences for individual accounts within our Confluence platform. We have a diverse team with members proficient in different languages, and not all are comfortable reading and writing in the language currently set as the default.
Could you please advise how each team member can configure their Confluence account to display in their preferred mother tongue? This feature is crucial for ensuring all team members can fully engage with and utilize our Confluence workspace effectively.
Your detailed instructions on how to set up language preferences for individual accounts would be greatly appreciated.
Hello @Kyu W Kim
Welcome to the community.
The administrator can set a default language for Confluence (e.g., for navigation, buttons, info texts, etc.). Users can individually set their desired language in their profiles. This ignores the administrator's default setting.
As far as page content is concerned, Confluence does not natively offer multilingualism. But with the help of a third-party app, content can also be offered in multiple languages, and the user can view it in their preferred language depending on their profile settings.
This blog post provides more information on this. The various solutions can then be tried free of charge in the Atlassian Marketplace.
Kind regards,
Mattia
