Hi there,
we are using the latest release of Attachment Checker for Confluence on Confluence Datacenter 8.5.4 with clamd as virus scanner underneath.
For unknown reason every time you're adding an attachment - no matter which kind of file - after some seconds a comment will be added to the page saying something like:
There is an issue with scanning the attachment file_of_any_type.ext
Please be careful with the attachment.
The virus scanning section of Attachment Checker is configured to remove/delete infected files but that doesn't happen. Not even if it's the eicar.testfile which is supposed to be detected at any times.
Clamd log shows no errors at the moment when the comment is generated.
Any help would be greately appreciated.
Thanks
Uli
Another customer encountered similar issue and directed us to this page.
For the benefit of other users who chanced upon this page in future, the error was fixed by granting clamd to access the necessary directories and files. 😊
Hi Ulrich,
I suspect there might be some issue in your configuration setup.
We will need more information to diagnose the issue.
Can I recommend you to connect via our Service Desk to get offical support? We will be glad to help :)
