Automatically Splitting An imported word doc into several articles / posts

I have word document I want to import.

Headings are similar to the following

1.  Level 1 Heading

     1.1  Level 2 Heading

            (a) Level 3 heading

I want to be able to get Level 2 headings to split out as separate articles.

Confluence can recognise my headings and that works with a table of contents - but the whole article is "one document" which is too lengthy.  I want to be able to auto split it out some how using an automation / macro?  is this possible?

It might be easier to split the word doc and import multiple files at once.

Unfortunately this is not possible. You need to split it manually or find app which doing that but for my knowledge I don't think that this kind of app exists on marketplace.
