Automatically add Page Restriction to Author

Jithesh G May 6, 2013

Hi All,

Is it possible to automatically add a page restriction to all the pages created in a space, such that only the page creator will be able to edit the content? All others will have view access.

Thanks & Regards,

JitheshG

Hi,

Unfortunateoly this is not possible this way. There was a similar feature request earlier that you can find here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-27498

This however was closed as won't fix, since these are somewhat controlled on default space permissions, even though it does not fully cover the requirement.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks Peter.

However i could found that there is a macro called add-page-restriction (https://wiki.csuchico.edu/confluence/display/conf/Available+Macros), but when i used this macro in my page, it says there is no such macro available. Could you please tell me if there is such a macro available in Confluence?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

The mentioned page is not an official documentation, rather it seems to be a public Confluence instance. I suspect that the mentioned macro is a custom user-macro created by the owners of this instance. Alternatively, it could have been a plugin by Adaptavist (I suspect it was a former version of BUILDER theme), however I am not familiar with it, I suspect it was in an old version only and not in the current, but you can give it a try.

Regards,

Peter
