Hi all, it's pretty much in the title, but I am trying to create a page where I can write down a bunch of ideas, and when I come to an issue, I can write down a question in the text for me to solve at some point.
However, I need that question that I have written to appear automatically at the top of the same page in a section called questions.
So when I return to this doc, I know which questions/issues I need to tackle.
Is there a way to do this - where I can type a particular symbol or macro before the question and have it appear in the questions box at the top of the same page?
Thanks
@Arvind Sond Welcome to the Atlassian community.
If you add your questions on the page using a Heading paragraph style, like Heading 2, you can:
Each question you add will be added to the TOC at the top (or wherever you place it on the page).
EDIT: If you do this type of page often, you can create a template with this panel and macro at the top and then make new pages based on the template.
Barbara - thanks so much for the answer, much appreciated.
Could I make this work if I my questions appear at random points within the body of text on that page, or do they have to be all contained in a specific area for them to appear in the column layout?

You would just need to have the question in its own paragraph and apply the heading style to that paragraph.
The TOC macro just looks for each paragraph that uses that heading level and adds it to the panel at the top. You can configure the TOC macro to display the questions as a bulleted list in the panel if desired.

Hi @Arvind Sond
There is no native feature on Confluence to accomplish that; however, there are a few workarounds. If this page is just a brainstorming page and you are not using headers, then you can add headers to your questions and display them with the table of contents at the top of the page.
Alternatively, you can use inline comments and check later for all the unresolved comments.
