I have a list of users that needs to be alerted to updates on a confluence page.
The user list (basically all technical managers) is maintained dynamically by an AAD one-liner PowerShell which populates a security group let's call it "TechManagers"
Ideally, I like to place that group on as Watcher of the page but looks like the page only accepts individuals.
What are my options? Is there an API to iterate thru the group and add /remove individuals as they are promoted and leave the company? Or is there a better way to do this than I am missing? Thanks
Hi @Thomas Burke :
You can use below workaround if possible:
One workaround is to create a mailing list for the group, create a user in Confluence with the email address set to the mailing list, then add that user as a watcher on the page/blog you wish to watch.

Actually this does not work!
There is a new group with email DL made which we can sent email to however when I try to select this group as a watcher it does not allow me too. Watcher , again , only are taking INDIVIDUAL emails , I do not understand how it is differentiating this but there you have it nonetheless.

Hi Thomas,
You are trying add group as watcher in that page which is not possible.
I wanted to say that you can use Group DL email ID for creation of new single user(not group) in confluence user directory and try to add that user in watcher of page.
