Confluence 4.3

Used blog macro inside a pane, inside a frame on a page. When someone enters a blog post for the page and presses "publish" the blog appears to be taken however when you go back to the page with the blog macro nothing is shown.

If i edit and save the page with the blog macro the new entry will show up

This can't be right because then what good is the blog macro if the page has to be edited for new content to show up. So I must be doing something wrong.

Any suggestions

Hi Greg,

If you give the blog macro a few minutes to pick up the blog does it show up? The index probably needs to pick up the new blog, but the index isn't instantaneous - it takes a few minutes to pick up. I would test by putting your blog macro in, create a new blog, then do these steps:

* Navigate to Confluence Admin > Cache Statistics

** Click flush all

* Navigate to Confluence Admin > Content Indexing

** Rebuild the index

Let me know if the blog shows up in the macro after that without editing it.

In addition to what Ryan said, if the indexing and flushing cache didn't work, please try to reindex plugin scratch.
