Hi there,
Is there any option to bulk export all the Confluence Spaces belonging to one account/organization?
I found a method, to export every Space one-by-one, but as we have several of them, this would be quite a long process.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Botond György
Hello @Botond Gyorgy ,
It should be possible to export all the Confluence Spaces at once with the help of a manual backup file from your existing Confluence installation.
Then, you should check "7. Production Installation: restore data from backup" in the Confluence Setup Guide .
Basically, you just create a manual backup file in your source confluence. Then, you go to your destination confluence and you restore data from the manual backup file you just create. You have also to pay attention to source and destination confluence version because you can't import into an earlier version of Confluence (for example, if you export a space from Confluence 5.9, you can't import it into Confluence 5.5. If your export is from Confluence Cloud, you can only import it into Confluence 6.0 or later.)
Hope this help you,
Dorian
Hi @Dorian Schauwers,
Thank you for your reply.
Is this backup file editable - or can we "open" with any other tool, or it just can be restored to Confluence?
It would be ideal to export the spaces into .docx/html/.pdf or any other, digestible format for human beings.
Best regards,
Botond György

The backup file will be editable but the format will be XML.
It is not possible to export all the spaces at once into .docx/html/.pdf. I have checked add-ons but I have not found any that would match your needs. My understanding is you will still have to export your space on by one if you want to export it in pdf.
Have a good day,
Dorian

to assist you with this request, it would be helpful to have more context, e.g. what you plan to do with the exported data, what format you prefer and how many spaces you have (with info how many of them are presonal spaces and if they need to be exported also).

Harald

Hi @Harald Seyr,
Thank you for your reply.
We would like to have a backup for some spaces, other, legacy ones can be removed once exported.
A simple export to .pdf would be ideal.
We have 40+ spaces, all of them Team/Project spaces.
Best regards,
Botond György
