Can Confluence 5.5 support it's own media?

I'm looking in a alternate solution in migrating media from a 3rd party provider to confluence 5.5, soon in upgrading to 5.10. Can I house media as attachments and play them within confluence or do I need to spin up a new media server in housing the videos?

I believe you can embed the multimedia content in your Confluence by the steps in this doc.
