Using Confluence Cloud, insert Confluence Page gadget, set up configuration and save.
Publish page and can only see a small section of the inserted page with scroll bars to the right. There is no option to set the height. I'd like to configure the height to simply replicate the page without scrolling.

Tried using almost every Jira gadget for a demo page in the "new editing experience." 15 total. The sections cut off the bottom of every gadget making them useless. No scroll bars. No way to adjust height. Wish we would find a different product.
I am having the same issue, especially with the Created vs Resolved and Two Dimensional Filter Statics gadgets. Width isn't the problem, it is the height.

I am also having the exact same issues & have more frustrations!
We started using Jira Service Desk last year and the report builder options are exceptionally poor so we started using Jira Dashboards. We've discovered they are also not suitable (and not being developed) we've found confluence has the most potential for layout flexibility & it is the easiest to display various reporting styles.
So to now find this basic requirement - the ability to resize based on height - is not available I'm now at a loss to providing senior management with the reports I'm being asked to produce.
Poor show guys!

Agreed. Tried working with reports and tables again this week in the new editor, and it is a big leap backwards. Formatting options are almost zero. Tables are the only option now for more than basic content manipulation. Panels are gone. We've gone back to 1996.

As a workaround a Jira expert pointed me in the direction of this macro - Include page, it's fiddly & sometimes doesn't load (needs a refresh) but it does resolve the above issues - all charts are displayed. The downside is I have 2 pages to manage - one to edit the gadgets & one to display the results.

We also using it. Not sure what quantify "widely" . What do you offer in return to users while deprecating an existing gadget? Why not to do what users are asking you? Frustrating .

Hi Michael,
It is not possible to adjust the height of the Confluence Page Gadget, only the width.
This has been requested in the past as a feature but unfortunately we do not have plans to implement this in the near future.
Thank you for your understanding!
Kind Regards,
Shannon

The decision to "Not Fix" doesn't make any sense. Why would you limit a gadget like this in such a way? At the very least the gadget should be height responsive. As it is right now, it will only display the top 1 to 1 1/2 inches of the target page. It's no small wonder that there is very little demand. Who would demand a gadget that doesn't work? Not to mention you've buried the issue and locked down the voting.
This is not a complicated fix. I would imagine there are quite a few users out there who would use this gadget to display view only pages in a clean knowledge space, while the source page resides in a working space that's locked down.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your feedback on the request. The development team will see this and can take it into account.
The voting is blocked now as a result of the request being closed, and not for any other reason.
I hope this clarifies things for you.
Take care and have a pleasant rest of your week.
Kind Regards,
Shannon

@Shannon S Sorry if that sounded a little harsh. That gadget would have been an elegant solution to a frustrating problem we're having.
I understand that Atlassian can't please everyone, everytime.

Hi Michael,
No worries! I do understand the frustration and we are trying to implement as many features as possible to please the greater number of users.
Cheers,
Shannon

Hi Michael,
It's probably worth noting now, that Atlassian have announced that they're deprecating this gadget by 11th September.
They currently offer no other alternative for displaying Confluence Pages (or external pages/iframes) within a JIRA Dashboard gadget.

Thanks Warren, I saw that come across my desk yesterday. They did have a work-around, but I doubt that's going to work for us. We've gone a different route anyway.
Cheers,
Michael

This should be a great feature !! The tools all about collaboration and you can share a page and offer it up for guidance on the latest version without a maintenance overhead.
Why would you not make the fix?
The idea of removing the Gadget altogether seems very negative? Why would you do that?

I have discovered 'include page', this works for me and shows all page content. I hope it might work for other Users

@Richard Plumb have you by any chance found a way to put the "include page" macro in a box and make it scrollable? Since my goal is to have a section of the page dedicated to another page, and within that section to scroll down to read. Just like the Confluence Page Gadget but with more height.
Would really appreciate if you found a way.
Thanks man

Morning, well if you use the 'include' it serves the whole page without scrolls so thats not right if you WANT scroll bars.
You could use the 'Confluence page' gadget originally discussed on this thread perhaps? it DOES have scrollbars but lacks the height definition, and as above @Shannon S Atlassian for no apparent reason are scrapping the gadget........boooo. Can you give us an actual reason @Shannon S ?
The only other thing I can suggest is to divide the page you want to serve up into manageable sections as sub pages and then serve them up on your main page using the include? They wouldn't be scrolling though.
Alternatively maybe use another way to reference the page? Link?

We applied an HTML macro on the original page and put borders/scrollbar there, then used the Include Page macro at the other page :)

Hi @Richard Plumb,
We made the difficult decision to remove these unsupported gadgets last year as part of much larger infrastructure infrastructure work we were undertaking, as noted in the deprecation notice. While we definitely see the value in these gadgets, they just weren't widely used enough for us to justify the development effort required to rebuild them at this time. Thanks for your understanding.

Dave

There are still many gadgets in Confluence that have height issues. This is a relatively simple and expected thing to account for in design If we can't see the gadget in its entirety, then it's not useful and your metrics on use of each gadget won't produce accurate results. We would like to use these, but physically cannot
