Can I copy a page in Confluence without carrying over default formatting?

Diane Reid March 8, 2023

I created a simple page on Confluence and set it up to skip all the numbered heading options (bc I find them quite annoying :)

When I copy the page, the default formatting comes back - all of the headings are numbered again! See below - the image on the left is the page I created, the image on the right is the copy - all the headings are back. WHY?! I didn't see a way to block this from happening on copy - any insight would be most appreciated, ty!

Hello @Diane Reid   How about leaving spaces in-between the 1 . 1 or dashes 1-1?

Confluence probably assumed, wrongly, that you are doing a numbered list and is trying [?] to be helpful.

This is only a guess ...

Thanks for the suggestion, Sharon! I'll give this a try :)
