Can I import a confluence space from 4.2.11 to 5.1.3?

We have v5.1.3 and need to import confluence documentation from a partner system currently running on 4.2.11. It is not currently possible to upgrade the partner.

Hi Martin,

It's not possible to transfer Spaces between different major versions so the best approach would be to setup a staging instance of v4.2.11, transfer the required Spaces from the partner system to the staging instance, upgrade the staging instance to v5.1.3 and then transfer the Spaces over. This will mean that only the staging instance needs to be upgraded and the other two instances can remain unaffected during the process. You can also use either a developer license or an evaluation license for the staging instance whilst you upgrade it.
