Can I import a page into Confluence that was created on another instance? Will it merge with existing or overwrite any content? I have an export from another Confluence instance that I want to incorporate some of the content into another instance but I don't want to overwrite anything on import.

Export the page as xml and then you can import it into your new space. I don't believe it will let you create pages with duplicate page names so you can't really overwrite any pages, but that is easy to test yourself.
