I needed to paste 3 images into power point and annotate them then take a picture of all three as one and paste that into confluence. I see that annotation is being added as a feature so i will no longer have to do that in power point.
When I try to add multiple things side by side I find that the layouts work best.
So just click the circled button (see picture) and then choose the option of three equal panels, the images will autoadjust to fill the space well.

You can use the "Layouts" option to place upto 3 images in a row.
You can find this option next to "Tables" option when editing.
