Hello, I am setting up a new project in Confluence Trial, and completing previous tasks and meeting notes is firing off emails to too many people.
I've read that you can disable the mentions plugin, but the option doesn't show in the manage addons list:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf54/confluence-user-s-guide/sharing-content/using-mentions

I don't want to turn it off forever necessarily, but certainly during the initial set up of the space.
Based on the latest comment from Joshua Martin on the https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/UPM/Disabling+and+enabling+add-ons page, it looks like the documentation hasn't been updated for the Mention and other plugins.
There's also no way for individual users to turn off these notifications in their Profile > Settings > Email (unless anyone can correct me on that?), so the only viable workaround I can think of is to use names but not mentions. If you want to change them to mentions later you could use e.g. the # symbol before each name to make it easy to search for them.
But if you need to disable that plugin and no workaround will do, it looks like you'll need to contact Atlassian Support.
