I would like to upload and/or share a Microsoft Outlook message to a page in Confluence.  Can this be done directly?  Or, do I have to convert them all to some other Office file type?

Hello @ddavis !

It depends on the format of data and how you want to have it in Confluence.

If you need some dynamic integration to get some data from Outlook like messages or calendar items - complex solutions can be used. You can try to find it in Marketoplace:https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=outlook

If just TEXT will do, then you can :

  1. Copy / Paste data in the page - it should be OK in most times
  2. Use some parsing method to exttract data from outlook or file and upload it via REST API.
  3. Use Java API (https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/java-api-reference/) to add data to Confluence after you get it from Outlook
