Can a user add data to a table without editing the page?

I have a table containing a list of files, their description and owners. Would it possible for another user to add another row in this table without editing the file?

We can also suggest trying our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app and its Table Spreadsheet macro.

We developed this macro to transfer all the basic Excel-like features right in Confluence. Besides, our spreadsheets support collaborative editing and can be updated both from the page view and page edit mode.

Welcome to the community!

I don't think it is possible.

If you want editing table data in the view mode (I mean, editing existing table cells), it is possible with the help of additional apps, so you should browse the Marketplace.

For example, we have the Handy Macros for Confluence app which Handy Status and Handy Date macros allow you to update statuses and dates on the fly from the page view mode.

As mentioned above, you can achieve this by working with third-party plugins. 

However in the future this might be possible with Confluence Databases (previously Orderly Databases by k15t). A much expected release :)

I thankfully had the chance to try Orderly DB, and it was so comfy just to add info anytime when needed.

Add contents to table without Edit page is not possible. 

Workaround:

1. Use Inline Table Editing plugin
2. Use Scaffolding plugin
