Can both Jira and Confluence be searched simultaneously in OnDemand?

Andrew Pratt December 20, 2012

We have just switched from Jira Hosted to OnDemand. In the old system, a search would return results from all areas, Jira issues, Confluence pages, FishEye and so on.

With OnDemand, the search seems to be restricted to the "area" you are currently in. e.g. if in Jira, then the search returns a list of issues, if in Confluence, a list of pages etc.

Is there a way to search all with OnDemand?

Most apps provide two kinds of search:

  1. Quick-search/auto-suggest (which pops up results as you type), and
  2. Normall/full search (where you press enter and get a new page of results).

Currently neither of these are cross-product, however we are currently working on cross-product quick search. You can keep up to date on this by watching AOD-6078.

Hey Andrew,

Not currently, but we are looking at ways to bring cross product searching back for OnDemand. Stay tuned to the OnDemand blog for more info early next year:
