So I have 2 pages in confluence: confluence page A will contain a table with n columns, I need confluence page B to contain the first 4 columns of the table found in page A, BUT I also need to add new columns to this table in confluence page B.

Is this possible?

Hi @Louidgie Theoret ,

You may try the app that we develop - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

The macro sequence may be as following:

  • On the page A you have an original A-table with n columns wrapped in the Table Excerpt macro
  • On the page B you place the Table Toolbox macro if your hosting is Cloud or nest macros directly for Server/Data Center
    • You reuse your A-table with n columns with the help of the Table Excerpt Include macro
    • You wrap the Table Excerpt Include macro in the Table Filter macro and hide the unwanted columns (use the "Hide columns" feature) - here appears your B-table that contains the first 4 columns of the A-table
    • You add a C-table (some new columns that you want to add to the B-table) and lookup your tables with the help of the Table Transformer macro by the unique (key) column

Maybe it sounds difficult if you are not familiar with the app but the structure is rather simple. We'll be happy to organize a live demo for you - please book a suitable time slot here.

You may also attach a link to this question, so we'll know about what use case you want to hear.

Hi @Louidgie Theoret

You can use built-in Confluence macros for that:

Include Page macro for sharing the whole page

- Excerpt macro for part of the page (like in your case, only area with table)

Let me know does this work for you

Hi @Louidgie Theoret welcome to the community! I think this cannot be achieved natively in Confluence. However, you can explore some table macros to suit your specific needs.

Recommend trying things out first from this community post. And explore more macros from here

Hope the above helps!
